I used to really hate all the new mascot suggestions but it's clear we can no longer retain the "Fighting" Illini for basketball.

Realistically, we weren't winning 4 games in a row. We can hardly put 2 halves together. PSU needed this game for their season to continue.

Coleman has been unstoppable down low and yet we throw it to him there maybe a few times per half?

He quit playing aggressive after success. He doesn’t handle success well.

Big picture, this game really means very little to us vs everything for PSU...we are where we are 8/9 range. I will say that as games have come and gone, it's been the same mistakes late, by the same couple of guys. That's disappointing, but it's also bringing in seniors via the portal.

4-17 from 3, too many turnovers, and missing too many freebies. Sounds familiar.

Those are all problems, but so is letting the opponent shoot 52%. And it isn't because they are making tough shots.
