Man, if we don’t pull this off, this will be one of those games in a what could’ve been season. Still way early in the season, but a chance to beat the #7 team in the land.
Why is the offense so up and down? Nice drive to start the game and we just throw the game plan out of the window and Barry has zero ideas and just thumbs through the playbook picking plays.

Or, they are as good as advertised, and we aren't as horrible as some people thought after our first two games.
I think we are a 5-7, 6-6 or 7-5 team. Somewhere along those lines but not an 8-4, 9-3, or 10-2 team that some were predicting.
I’m going to say it’s a happy medium. Even a place that Illinois defense has completely botched things up, their office has looked on able to make those reads. They had a guy wide-open 40 yards down field on one play, and they completely missed it and the WB ran for like 2 yards. That’s just one example. I feel like this whole game. Their office has been “eh” at best.
On the same page, though, I do feel like our team is starting to pick it up a little bit on the fence. We need to have our offense pick it up also
Has McCray turned into the football version of Melendez? All kinds of potential but never going to reach it.
Not a big Lunney fan, but I don’t know if I would equate 2 INTs and a fumble with throwing the game plan out the window.
Rough start for Altmyer but I believe in him long term. He's got a lot of talent. Lots of work to do but I don't think we've had many QB's who were capable of making the throws he can make.

Tough start, but we are in it. Need to have ZERO turnovers and bad penalties in the second half and have the defense hold.
Despite the turnovers, we look so much better on defense that the first two weeks, and the offense has looked good for a couple drives.
A win would be huge, but keep it close and play solid football, and this team will put itself in a great spot to win the west and get to a good bowl game.

Its not just that drive, it been his whole time here. We needed to take more time off the clock and make them at least use timeouts. His play calling has been poor.

Lunney isn't a good offensive coordinator (not sure what happened between here and UTEP). We are self inflicting difficulty into this game. If we hold them here and then add some points, this is doable. But still, you don't go -3 in the turnover department and win.
