I feel like the casual perspectives regarding our offense don’t understand the essence of offensive rebounding. Yes we missed a lot of shots, but we got them back. Eventually it will lead to a good offensive output (and it did).

In that case, the shooting percentages take a dip (which people will look at), but we still got 2pts on the possession.

Right but this metric is poor and includes a "luck" factor. If the ball bounces the other way off the rim, we do not get those possessions and second chance points. The eye test of this game says "Illinois is not good"...

We look scary good. I wouldn’t want to face us. Brad sure has us fired up and ready. Damn if old Clank Boswell didn’t come out with a quick clank then hi nuts to to baskets before fading away for the night. Ivisics on their way to at least a combined 8-10 it’s and 6-7 combined rebounds. So glad JD starts, without his hit shooting to start the game we would be sunk. Look out VCU, we’re hoping to hang on thru the second half so we can play another game. Wish us luck!

2 7 footers towering over our opponents and 0 post game. Just stupidity at all levels.

So posting up isn't Z's game. He's more about offball cuts and runs to the rim. For him, we should be drawing up multiple lobs a game because he is extremely efficient at finishing those. Tomi on the other hand does have a pretty solid post game, but for whatever reason this season he just really hasn't looked to do it. I think he's just not there health and conditioning wise.
