Game Thread: Illinois vs Penn

[BBlock24]

Playing the anoint of Freshmen that we are vs a team with this much experience is going to create a very bumpy ride today. We're not covering the three point line whatsoever, especially on the wings.

I don't disagree, but the person I was responding to made it seem that last game was because Jake was on the floor when he wasn't.

Does anyone else find our new offense a little too frantic?

[Second place is 1st loser]

I'm noticing fatigue by our guys. If you're going to play this style, you had better be able to do it for 40 minutes.

I don't see this being a enormous blowout. Penn has a lot of talent and can shoot. I'm really surprised how much talent they were able to bring back

Illinois with them freshman fouls

[PNWIllini]

Vaaks no more of that please.

[ChiTown]

Freshmen picking up the fouls.

How did Lincoln finish that?!?!

And 1

Nifty little adjustment there from Lincoln.

[aaeismacgychel]

Williams bringing a lot of energy thus far

[RIP_Chief_2003]

FR looking much better than our upper classmen thus far…

Thought he was gonna punch it for a second, great finish though

[New Creation]

How many layups have we missed? We would probably be up 20 already.

[LuckyIllini]

Lincoln Williams will be a dawg in a year or two

[Jon]

Real uptick on non Z-blocks. Very cool

[Second place is 1st loser]

Very, very nice burst by the young guys.

[skyIdub]

Dre just bodied and bootied a 6'9" PF. He might be unstoppable this year.

Have a feeling that the coaching instructions for Zens were to follow Jake Davis around.

Penn looks much more fatigued to me.

Credit Penn's defense for not just giving up on plays. They're disrupting flow just enough to cause the guys to rush. That Lincoln Williams finish would have ended up the same way if he didn't adjust in the air.

JJ with some decent rebounding so far.

A little finishing at the rim on offense would be nice, but at least he’s going for the boards.

[PNWIllini]

Stojakovic is ours and you can’t have him

Took a big offensive jump. Agreed, he'll have a huge year!

[skyIdub]

You can tell Brad lit them up in the huddle about their D. Great hands and hustle since then.

He has looked really good.
