I know this is obvious but this offense has a definite short shelf life. In the second half Purdue is going to load the box and make crouch throw. Going to be tough to win that way.

Have to get a TD to start the second half. This is when good coaching needs to pay off. Fire these kids up.

Well, we have 42 passing yards at the half. If the over/under on passing yards for the game was set at 43, I might be tempted to take the under.

So was Nebraska that hungover or are they terribad too?

Teams on the bottom of the pile tend to play their best when it's one of the few games they can win in conference play. Either Illinois considers Purdue an easy win (which obviously they are not) or Lovie is more concerned with developing his system and experimenting than winning games right now.

I actually feel this is true. And, while it sucks short term (especially for us season ticket holders), I think it's actually important he DOES do it this way. Maybe it will not be the right way. Time will tell.

Screwed two weeks in a row by the refs not knowing how to spot the ball.

This defense and the staff should be ashamed of this performance so far.

Guess we all have to come to terms with Lovie's extremely ultra conservative approach to fourth down. How in the world he has any faith in this d to get stops is beyond me.
