Will be watching Miller, Grandison, and Hawkins closely. Need significant contributions from them if this team wants to play in the Final 4.

Nice to have the '88 Illini-Mizzou game on BTN for pregame. One of my all-time favorite Illini wins. Kenny Battle at his absolute most relentless, not going to let Illinois lose, finest. Byron Irvin playing for Missouri - a really talented Missouri team

hoping we come out clicking from minute 1. No more excuses re: holiday hangovers, it being early in the season, or every B1G team being good.

that doesn’t mean we beat them by 30, but I just don’t want to see another down by 15 and need Ayo to pull off a miracle to win it close. Let’s save those miracles for Iowa, MSU, and Wisconsin (if we need them at all).

If we can get Miller to play solid D and not allow PU to get open looks, that will help. Also, 8-10 points will be a bonus. From what I read, PU does not pass well and they are bad at passing into the bigs. Our perimeter D needs to be solid tonight as they have some shooters who can make threes .

Just watched! Incredibly entertaining!!!!

Followed immediately by the 30-minute piece on the Nick Anderson shot vs. Indiana later that season. OK, now I'm pumped.

The stage is set. We move back into a tie for 1st with the (expected) home victory.

Slow start, our sparkplugs Curbelo and Beshanishvili will come in. Same old song and dance. Why are our coaches opposed to starting faster? I know i'll get beat up for this but why do we have to start in the hole every game?

People had this same narrative last year with starting Feliz. How'd that end up? Oh yea... he ended up coming off the bench because he was better there. It's early. Coaches still feeling things out.
