QG finally showing the offense we know he has. Marcus with the moves. Hawk grabbing boards, hitting his free throws, and avoiding a second foul. Dain giving valuable minutes. Goode hitting a three and fighting on the offensive boards. Edey is going to eat. Just lock down everyone else. We have a 6-point lead with TSJ sitting for most of the half. Keep up the effort and we got this.

We played darn hard and really got on the glass… BUT… I can’t help but feel lucky to be up 6. Quality of looks seemed to really favor Purdue in the last 6 or 7 minutes of the half, and I fear we got a bit out of flow offensively. That said, we finished every uncomfortable offensive possession with an aggressive drive to the rack instead of settling for jumpers AND Shannon sat most of the half. Feeling pretty good.
With TJ only having 4 points ... Yeah, I'll take that ...
Quincy has found his shot ... Goode has been an absolute warrior ...
Id Renn is in with Edy then who is guarding Renn needs to help out. Renn isn't a shooter. Maybe force a turnover. Or have Goode, Nico or someone go for a steal/foul. Those edy lay ups at too easy.
Bardo is one of our own ... But if he wasn't ... I'd have some words ...
I’d love to have Kofi back only for games against Purdue just so Edey could get knocked around a bit.
Can't complain about that half. Edey can get 40, as long as they keep their guards under control.

Kofi would have 2 fouls in the first 5 minutes with these refs ...

Am I crazy or does Dain’s size at least seem to bug Edey a bit? He’s played some solid minutes and Goode is battling. Great half, the guys are playing their butts off.
Crazy, Bardo goes out of his way to not be an Illini homer while Hummel is unapologetically homerish.
A couple unlucky plays for us (bad bounce, stepping out) and TSJ on the bench most of the half. Almost feels like we could be up 12 or so. Gotta come out strong second half and let them know we aren’t going away
