Gonna bet my house that TKR gets a layup coming out of the TO

The pick and roll is the most basic play in basketball. Why can we never run it or defend it as well as our opponents? Purdue's screens free their guards for open layups time after time, while we rarely get such clean looks.

I'll give the ref who called that foul on KJ a little credit though for allowing himself to be reamed out by the entire Illinois bench without calling a T. There's a bunch of refs who have too fragile an ego not to double down there
I thought about reffing once before and took a class and our trial run was just a random pickup game. First time down the court, defender made an awesome block. I was 2 feet away and it was all ball. I was excited so I blew the whistle. Everyone was looking at me so of course I had to call a foul. Everyone was mad, and I understood why, but what else was I gonna do? I think that ref had a moment like that.

Riley is certainly being a spark plug for this team...much as DGL did last year at times but more consistently. Kid does not lack confidence but sure shoots some shots that are questionable. Not sure it is a good thing that he makes enough to think they are good shots? He is talented and has earned his starter's spot. He and KJ are both leaders...sure wish they were both hitting shots with confidence. Not to overlook Tomi or others, but when those two are churning good...this team is pretty good.
