Game Thread: Illinois vs Southern Illinois

[kyillinifan]

We got our running back in #24. I know it is sour, he looks good.

[AssemblyHallForever]

Barnett has a nice burst with power. He will be a major focus as we can attack with 4 solid runners.

[TheFlyingIllini1317]

Barnett looked awesome. Perfect time to get the backups in, would love to see Boyd out there.

[Red77sng]

Alexis the running back we have coming in next year is very good to

[2X2L]

It ain't over 'til it's over, but I would like to see an Illini back-up QB in the game right now.

Boyd warming up in bullpen.

[zentrails]

We have a big scoreboard, who knew? LOL

[aaeismacgychel]

Paris wanted to hit someone there

[FloridaMan]

That's a hit!

[Red77sng]

Fix this O line...and I'm pumped for the next few years of running Bielema Ball with that kid.

Need to get healthy

[WolfpackIllini]

Still need 2 to cover...

[skyIdub]

7 years?? Williams 401K must be loaded.

[FloridaMan]

NICE tackle Hankins!!!!!! Wrapped up and drove!

[Illini4Christ]

Bret swiped Javari from the university of Alabama. I remember the excitement when it happened but man.

[TentakilRex]

This offense needs at one or two power backs

Excellent

I don't know, maybe they were trying to save Barnett's redshirt? But he needs to play. Our running game has been too dependent on busting a long one. We can't possess the ball running it, but maybe he can help.

He needs PT so we can KEEP him!

[BDMAN]

Our defense still needs to improve there have been strides this game but we have loads of improvement to get to. The OSU will be a ugly game for us next week.

Good series by Paris

[PleaseMakeABowlGame]

announcer is wrong in saying it's a "daunting big ten schedule."

outside of Penn State, it's the easiest I've seen.

[PapaKvells]

We have to be careful with those hits when QBs start sliding. I was OK with the first non-call since it was such a late slide, but I was surprised we didn’t get hit with a personal foul on that last one.

[EmeraldCityIllini]

Not gonna be the bball guy who only posts when complaining.

Credit where it's due today. After the second SIU drive, defense looked much better. Tackled in open field. Secondary flew around a bit more.

Its SIU, but best result of year so far and not close. A little optimism for me.

[TampaToo]

Boyd time.
