If basketball were about who had the tallest guys.. it would be a simpler (and much taller) game
I buy them finishing top 6 in the B10 and making the tourney. Don't see them getting to the 2nd weekend, but it's certainly possible. They have good experience and solid talent.
Yeah...that's 5 extra shots...almost a 1/3 of the 16 shot difference
This is why we shouldn’t overreact. Two guys who played huge roles on a Final Four team two years ago. Almost all of our guys have less than 100 minutes on the floor with any other guys. Plenty of time to comeback, but if not, I’d be fine with beating them in March.

It was a travel and was called as it should have been. DD will shake his head when he sees the replay...hopping with two feet has always been a travel at every level.
Keep it in perspective, Illinois lost to Cincinnati by 20 around this time last year.

Sloppy sloopy first half by the Illini......We were up 21-14 and now down 37-28.......23-7 run by the bruins fueled by numerous turnovers and spotty D by the Illini........we started out hot from the arc , then regressed to running the weave and hesitating to take open shots........
Bu needs to calm the lads down and stress D on Campbell and JJ.........We just need to run the O and get TSJ and dainja the ball and go from there.......
it's our first game against a major Power 5 team rated in the top ten..........I fully expect us to reduce the TO's and start making some shots.....At least I hope we do................Bad last 7-8 minutes of the first half but 20 minutes still left to go and get back in this game........

One word: Turnovers.
Really sloppy ball handling. Lack of composure up and down the line-up. (Sorta seems like too many guys in the rotation, and not enough basketballs to go around. I don't get the sense that I'm seeing Luther-Dee-Deron-Augie-Rev looking to get the best shot possible.)
