Need to get TSJ going in the second half and we need to take 3s when they are open. First 4-5 minutes of second half are going to be huge.
I like how we defended them after the timeout by UConn to end the half. I knew Spencer was going to get it because they ran a similar play to get him open against SDSU at the end of the half and he made the 3. This time we defended it well.

The Illini being down by 7 or 9 early on, and then tying it at one point gives me some hope that if they shoot better, avoid Clingan, they can pull this game out.
UCONN shooting poorly as well has helped. Let's hope they continue to struggle. MD looks to be on his game.

Again, we look like garbage and we are right in this thing. If you told me we would only score 23 I would have guessed we were down by 20. This is a gift. Take the freaking gift and spike it in their d*mn face in the second half.
We played as bad as possible and had one of the worst game plans ive ever seen us have. We are so lucky to be down only 5 and if we play the anywhere near the same in the second half we will lose by 20+

These guys are beatable, but time to adjust the game plan.
Guerrier is doing what Hawkins was doing earlier in the year. Pass up open 3 and then immediately take a contested 3 or out of control drive.
Once Hawkins stopped doing that, he started clicking. Guerrier needs to stop doing that or be on the bench. In fact, I'd put dainja in to start 2nd.

What is with the pace of this game? I thought it was going to be a track meet? They promoted the game by saying "if you like to see offensive basketball, stay tuned".
