If we lose, it would really suck. But ourely as a basketball fan, i would like to watch an edey vs klingan matchup.

Let's be honest though, UConn and Illinois both did not play well in that 1st half. We had several misses near the basket, missed majority of our foul shots, and continue to go into Clingan's territory expecting different results. But, UConn also is not making their shots outside of Clingan. So, overall, either masterful defense by both teams or poorly played offensively by both teams or a little of both. Illinois is still in this game going into the 2nd half. I couldn't have asked for more than that. These first 4 mins will be important to not allow UConn to set the tone. Illinois must set the tone

what a dumb take. We're down 5 to the best team in the tournament probably since 06-07 Florida (tournament performance-wise) and that's your thought? Some people will literally NEVER be content. If we won a natty, I'm sure there would be something to complain about then too right? Sheesh...
They should be focusing on repeating the next year, obviously.

If Domask keeps it up, CH and QG take & make open threes, and we continue to defend ferociously... but we cannot give up another burst out of the gate!!

Hate to be that guy, but there was entirely too much celebration for just making the second weekend. The play so far has reflected that.
We're down 5 to the defending champs at half. Yeah it hasn't been an offensive clinic but it's playing out as pretty much expected so far. We'll see what kind of adjustments are made from both sides in the 2nd half.

Dude, they're playing for a Regional Championship after winning a Sweet 16 game and they're 20 really good minutes away from going to a Final Four.....against the #1 team in the country. Yes, you're being that guy and don't be.

Spoken like someone who hasn't watched the NBA in years. Physicality and defense still happen in the NBA. The offenses are just so dynamic that scoring is up as much as it is. Once playoff time comes around, the teams that win will play strong defense.
Yes, when the playoffs start, the physicality goes up a notch and the defenses tighten up. Why does it have to take the NBA playoffs for that to happen? The NBA should be called the NDA---No Defense Allowed League until the playoffs start. Then, it can go back to the NBA. The NBA is brutal to watch at times during the season. While in college, the games mean more because there's fewer of them and the coaches emphasize the fundamentals and defense more

After a few wings and time to think, I realized I don’t have any idea what will happen second half. Usually you get a gut feeling one way or another, but this could really go to either end of the dorctrum from an illini victory to a total implosion. Hope we see the former

The celebratory light heartedness has been critical to this run, actually
