Take care of the ball, win the battle on the glass and defend UConn's off ball offense better than in the November game. The team do all that then I think we win. UConn hasn't been shooting it all that well in the tournament so lets hope that this game isn't the one where they'll start lighting it up.

now in my game attire - 2005 final 4 shirt, orange chief sweatshirt, illini sweatpants - you all aren't posting fast enough as I have to wait in between posts - and I've already watched all the interviews and read all the articles. we need the defense, rebounding, and poise (no Pick 2's) we've seen all tournament.

This is the worst possible crew you could have on a final four pre game show. Come on TBS, get your act together. What a joke.

I agree with Mr Tibbs. The Illini win both today and Monday. We are not playing like an 8 loss team. We're a different team now. Height is not just an advantage in rebounding. We've used it lately in the proper way to get straight up - with both hands up - right in the face of shooters. It's tough to shoot over a 7 footer, or even a 6'9" guy who is toe to toe with you and has both hands up in your face. We held Iowa to 38% from the field instead of their usual 48.7%. We held VCU to 35% vs their usual 46%, and we even held Houston to 34% vs their season avg of 45%. Uconn hasn't faced a defense like this including when they beat us by 13 earlier this season. We're on the edge of Greatness!

It is imperitive that we get off to a good start and not fall behind like vs Iowa plus win the first 5 minutes of the second. If we do that and start well i will feel much more confident we can win this.
