Win or lose, it's been a hell of a ride just getting to the Final Four. Illini Basketball is back, and this time, we're not going anywhere. 8 more years of Underwood consistency, then we hand the program to Tyler who is a rising star in the coaching world and dominate another 25 years. We got the Conference Revenue stream, the NIL potential, the location, the AD buy-in. With all due respect to the Villanova/Gonzagas of the world, it's a new era now and a Big 10 like Illinois is well positioned for the new landscape. This is the start of something, not a blip.

The refs have to watch Reed doing a dance in the paint trying to get around Big Z or Tomi. He literally moves his pivot foot up around and two steps like doing Boot Scoot Boogie. B.U. please get in their ear!

How this is called can have a massive impact on this game. I hope they have the best refs and they excel. I hope it isnt a whistlefest but i hope they dont let players bang ir mug each other either. If its within reason but not too physical where fouls arent called banging on Keaton or Reid banging to get an advantage then that is good. If its a foul call it. Dont let teams gwt away with playing so physical refs stop blowing the whistle and calling fouls.

I dont want it soft but i dont want hand checking not called and charges in the post when guys knock guys back 2 feet either. We have been getting screwed when refs anticipate fouls thats arent there

That can't be legit. I suppose it can, but that seems highly, highly unlikely, though that would be nice. StubHub, SeatGeek, etc have a real problem on their hands if we lose.

Edit: If this is legit and we lose, you'll be hearing echoes during the second game.

This is as nervous as I've ever been before one of my favorite teams sporting events. I think it's because of the realization of knowing it's so tough to get here.
'89 I was in high school, '05 all of my children were little, '26 all of my children are out of the house. Crazy!

Side note, let's make this a more common occurrence!!
