I'm GUESSING that they're trying to loosen up the middle by putting a knock down shooter on the wing/in the corner, but defensively... he's not good enough.
But I could be wrong…but ironicallly I believe in the last few games Andrej is actually shooting a better/as good of a % from 3 as Jake.

Brad needs to get one. This is pathetic

So Stojakovic can’t buy a call. I thought they were calling this fairly, according to these goofs.

There really is a lid on the basket. No other explanation

Tomi's 3 rims out and Ball hits a three on the other end to push it back to 11.

Dre's lay up sticks to the back rim that would have cut it to 9.

Brutal stuff.

UConn's defense is a big reason why things are going the way they are. UConn is determined to stop the offensive rebound so they keep two guys close to the basket who immediately wheel around to box out. Those guys also prevent back cuts which is why we haven't been passing to cutters.

I was hoping that the trend of taking the ball to the basket with far less reliance on threes would continue, but let's give UCONN some credit. They have extremely athletic wings and we have one(Andrej). Jake is WAY out of his league defensively. They have NBA caliber personnel at position where we really lack athleticism.
