Yes, the score is now 38 - 35 good guys

So far in this first half you can see the obvious difference between KJ and KB,so far KB is shooting first instead of trying to be a play maker.

Anyone remember that Northwestern game in I think 2020? We were down like 10 at half and won by like 30?

…. Just sayin.

BU is absolutely chewing a$$ right now. Getting outrebounded by this team is unacceptable. Period.
Bingo, rebounds = effort and toughness. USC 17- ILL 16 on the boards. & USC is not a great rebounding team... Get it fixed and get it fixed now

Also, 7 TO's (most of which were self-inflicted) have to get cleaned up too

Pretty simple....Illini shooting about 10 % while USC hitting around 78% and making a bunch of horse shots along with layups. Seldom, if ever, does that last for two hours. What we saw was the correct response though. When you can't score, keep them from scoring and the defensive focus stepped up noticeably the last 5 minutes. Hummer continues to hit tough threes and that is so critical for Illini success along with DGLs energy and White being Mr. dependable.

KB thankfully, gave up on becoming Downtown Freddie Brown and started to do his defensive dynamo self....a good thing today. Jake continues to climb the ladder and be trustworthy.

Keep up the defensive energy, focus, and intensity and this should be a hard earned but well deserved Illini victory. If not, it will be an embarrassing defeat as it all starts with defense.

More DGL please.

Also, I am concerned about Ivisic disappearing offensively lately. Seems more pronounced without KJ on the floor.
Without KJ on the floor, it likely changes how team play D and let's them defend Ivisic differently. To say nothing of KJ's ability to facilitate.

Started slow, didn't pick up much, played lethargic, took USC's best shot, and still up 2 at half.

I think we'll be OK.

I’m one constantly living on the ledge and ready to jump during close games, but I’m gaining faith in these guys to turn it up second half.
Our shots will fall and the defense will remain constant.
My glasses may be heavily colored with orange lenses from the cheap seats of SFC, but the good guys will prevail in 2nd half.

Also.. we need a local Orange Krush for breaks. Too many quiet, sitting a$$es in seats that matter.

No one has called MoRez by MoJo yet but he does have a mojo to him and seems to always have a positive effect. Some defensive lapses but playing his heart out
