Boswell, Riley, and White are a combined 0-12 from 3. Tough to win with shooting that abysmal. Man we missed KJ today, I hope the staff is not downplaying his injury, he is crucial to our success going forward. We had a bad loss to PSU last year, and used that to get refocused. This is also a bad loss, but if we learn from it and adjust going forward, maybe we can turn it into a positive.

No defensive intensity. No rebounding. No in game adjustments (again) to turn off the water when someone’s going off. No three point shooting. We deserve to lose.
no 3 point shooting?? I feel like we’ve shot way too many 3s & not enough in the paint..

Lots of things did not go our way today...but the most important aspect of this victory for USC is that they simply played their best game of the year, maybe in the past 15 years. Our Illini have had a tough day in many ways by many players, but they were not stone cold. The Trojans played hard and very well.

Our effort was pretty weak as well.

I would think “near loss” would be self-explanatory but apparently not. Please say again how negative we all are.

I mean obviously the question was rhetorical. There's just something about seeing grown men lose their composure and act like little babies over a basketball game that irks me.

I disagree. We allowed them to do whatever they wanted. Our defense and rebounding were abysmal - which is all effort. We lose to Minnesota with this effort.
