Playing loose is great until something like that happens

Kids look loose tonight. Have to wonder how much weight they played with throughout the year trying to save their coach.

Harrington could have found a better way to answer the question about his Alma Mater. "Need to find some relevancy". Brutal. Find another opportunity to show your chops as a bball analyst Sean!

Why? He isn't wrong. I hate to be the one to break this to you, but we are not relevant.

Always good to put up 40 in a half.

I hear what you're saying... but I think that only became really relevant in the early part of the conference season.

Maybe. It became relevant to me when we couldn't guard Winthrop.
Oh, most definitely to the type of people who would visit IL.

Hey, what a good half of basketball! I'll take more of that after halftime, please.

Yeah I know he's right but that's not the point. There's certain things you shouldn't do to get ahead in life and publicly bashing your school is one of them. Don't let the truth interrupt my disappointment :)

They're playing Valpo without their best player. This should be a beat down.

Regardless I love the way these kids are playing
Definitely. In the pregame interview Malcolm talked about the contrast between the way Illinois played and the way Alabama played during their NIT matchup. It didn't feel too great to get embarrassed by the team that wanted to be there more. I'm sure that memory has motivated him, and has infected the rest of the team.

Other than a bit of Thorne, I haven't seen any change in the rotation so far. Good results, but was hoping to see some change. Maybe it'll come in the second half.
