I like the idea of meeting pressure with pressure.

In the Pre-game thread FiveStar mentioned 2-2-1, control the tempo type pressure, not necessarily turn them over type of pressure. We have seen flashes of the team playing it in the half court earlier (announcers were confusing it for a 2-3).

I'm interested to see if we see more of TJL to help get the ball down the floor.

Cautiously optimistic. We can get hot, and if Hill and a couple of guys get rolling, we could make up for the deficit our defense can sometimes be.

Doing well in the next couple would surely erase the taste of the last game.

Oh, and a very Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I'm completely pessimistic. Hate to say it, but we're up against a much better team than earlier in the week, and we're not at home. If we can't take a weak slap to the chin at home, how are we going to handle a tough team on the road?

Couple reasons I'm holding out hope though:
* Winthrop should wake our guys up
* It's early in the season and no one game should define us
* Hill disappeared. Hard to imagine he'll disappear twice like that

Honestly, I won't be upset if we play a great game and lose. We should be in it if we play decent. If we come out flat, especially after Winthrop, make the kind of terrible mental mistakes we made before, or choke again, :hurl:
There's still time to turn it around, but it's been so brutal as a fan, it makes you wonder why you watch.

I understand your sentiment, but then you reel off a bunch of reasons for hope...we are always pulled back by our love for the O&B. I hope your wish list for success is granted for all of us!

I usually freak out after losses, talk about how we suck all week and reminisce about the glory days.

But a few minutes before every game? I BELIEVE!! Go Illini, let's erase that ugly loss with a great win!

Don't you know? We already lost.

I am hoping for a Trent Meacham/Chester Frazier vs Mizzou type of performance.

Let's go! I-L-L
