Yeah I'm sure it helps to have a week to prepare but don't let those facts get in the way.
I mean, preparedness goes both ways, Uconn also only had a day to prepare for us as well. We play terrified in the 2nd half, no amount of preparation would've changed that. We had a great season, I'm proud of the team, but objectively, we pooped our pants against Uconn.

So much Purdue hate here. You’d think we are IU and not UI based on fan reactions to them. No need for us to have little brother syndrome wrt Purdue. They’re not Iowa or Indians and their coach is a good dude! So many you all would rather see UConn win the tittle rather than Purdue. Not enough bourbon to make sense out that. 😂

I love all of this revisionist nonsense. Bama is making shots and had a week to prepare. That's the difference between us and them so far. There is no what we should have done against UConn to talk about.
Besides, it's not like we got blown out in the 1st half.

I like Painter. But Edey, Tintin, Gillis, and Morton are very easy to dislike.

As usual I am enjoying color commentary by Bill Raftery. Noticed he isn't saying "Onions" after baskets anymore. Instead, it's "Gathering his Puppies."

UConn won a game by 30 where they got to rest their starters. We played against a 2 seed in a very tight physical game that ended in the wee hours of Friday morning. Big difference. We didn't play terrified in the 2nd half, we changed our strategy from attacking Clingan which wasn't successful in the first half to shooting 3 pointers and jump shots and couldn't make the shots. We didn't execute. That has nothing with not be prepared or terrified.

When Werner and other beat writers (including Latulip) say that we were shell shocked... there is no homerism there. That's straight, objective analysis of what happened. I'm not here to relive the past, but getting the doors blown off in the 2nd half wasn't just missing some shots.

I can get on board with any of them...except Loyer. That dude...oof.
I'm with ya. That guy just has such a punchable face.....right there with the likes of Bohannon and Alford. The others, I am ok with.

Shell shocked is not the same as being terrified. Being terrified is scared to play a team from the jump. We never feared UConn or else we wouldn't have been in the game and trying to do what we were doing in the first half. Missing shots absolutely has to do with why we got blown out in the 2nd half. I don't where you got that idea that wasn't the reason. We missed 14 straight shots to start the second half. Otherwise we wouldn't have gotten blown out.

And you are reliving the past YOU brought up our game against UConn by saying 'Sure as heck playing with more gumption than we did...'

Alabama not intimidated by UCONN's big guy in the middle.

Clingan isn’t quite so dominant when he’s forced out of the paint. Unfortunately having Ty in the game and allowing him to just wait at the rim was not good for us… he’s much better when all he had to do is stand there and jump vs trying to block shots on the move.

8/11 from three and down by four. As son as they miss 4-5 in a row it will be a double digit game.
Yeah, I was trying to figure out why this Alabama team, our basketball twin, is having more success than us. I think it's as simple as their shots are going down and ours weren't. Of course, that matters in basketball.
