I know Bama hit a ton of shots, but to see how they are attacking UConn convinces me we should have gone 5 out. Make Clingan guard in space. Make him follow Coleman on a roll or behind the 3 pt line. Would open up both driving lanes and booty ball.
I just don’t understand playing right into UConn’s strength, particularly when we had the personnel to make UConn adjust. If we went 4-40 from 3 so be it.

In driving into Clingan's chest and getting stuffed, we were down 5 at half. Alabama hitting 8 of 11 threes, they're down by 4. This is just the nature of the beast when playing UConn.
Rooting for Bama like crazy. Hope they make it interesting in the second half.

This game is starting to teeter for Bama....if the threes stop falling, this is going to get away from them quickly.

Yikes!Total horse puckey. Clingan totally fouled that dude on the dunk, and should've been t'd up after throwing the ball at the backboard after earning the foul on the following play.
Nelson is doing what we couldn't. He's taking it right to Clingan, but is converting.

They’re attacking Clingan but with some finesse. They’re not jumping into his chest looking for a foul.
I don’t care how much we may not like PU, all of us should despise UConn… the amount of favoritism from commentators and officials is enough to cheer against them no matter the opponent. They literally can hack and push on defense all game without being called for a foul.
P.S., Alabama is showing how to play UConn, and what’s sad is that the Illini were perfectly built to play that way, and did all season. It was a colossal mistake playing them we did. I know we changed in the 2nd half, but it’s hard to adjust your game plan completely midgame.

Every time Bama reels me back in, UConn puts the game right back on the brink. It's like us continually getting up by 7 all year......then down to 1....then up to 7.....then tied.....then up to 12 and game over.
Looks like UConn is starting to pull away but I still like how Bama plays and how their roster is constructed. If your team can shoot threes well you’ll always have a chance
