I feel like UConn just got a few more lucky rolls on some shots than Purdue did. Was a pretty even half.

That being said, holy cow, Purdue is only 1-3 on three-pointers. Do not think they can win this game unless they can find a way to get some threes from Loyer/Gillis/Lance Jones.

If Purdue didn’t have a generational center to carry them offensively this would be a very rough game for them. Edey is playing like the star he is and they can barely get any other reliable production. If they can’t manufacture some 3s I do not see Purdue hanging even if Edey drops 40 points.

Wish Illinois took the same approach against Purdue 6’1”, 6’1”, 6’4” are susceptible to big guards
It felt like we did do this in the first half at home. Got away from it though and they hit some 3s and unfortunately got them confident shooting 3s they may not have otherwise. UConn plan to let Edey beat you and limit the 3s is playing almost to perfection

Hurley may be a tool but he can coach. I enjoy watching the way they play the game. I don’t think Purdue can hang with them.
Agree with first part but I think it will be like the Alabama game mostly, except I think Purdue has a better shot.

UConn's moving screens are killing Purdue.

Is it just me, or is a player getting hit on the arm while shooting close to the basket maybe the most missed foul call?
When I played they had what was called a reach in foul call....I guess its now extinct....If it was called ucant would be in serious trouble right now....

We did in the first half in Champaign.... We had a lead. We switched it up and let their guards get hot and they got a few rebounds at the end of the game and we lost.

It's rugby now lol. Watching black and white FILM from old collegiate or HS games makes me laugh now: the rules are not in any way, shape or form even remotely related to those of yore. Reach in, over the back, traveling, carrying, push-off, moving screen. Antiquated ideas apparently.

Edey is winning the battle of the bigs but the rest of Purdues guys are getting destroyed
Analysts got it right on. Clingan is making it somewhat difficult for Edey to score easily...making him shoot a bit further out...and doing it one on one. The results is UConn defenders can stay home on Purdue's perimeter arsenal. Edey has no assists. Against most teams, he kicks it out to the open guy where the double or triple defender came. Pretty smart strategy by Hurley and working so far. Not sure what Painter can do to get their perimeter game going since UConn defenders have a huge height advantage and are working hard to defend the arc.

We may see UConn develop a comfortable lead if nothing changes.
