If I was NW I would want to get healthy. If Boo isn’t on they can’t score more than 65. They know how to slow the game down and play at their pace but they don’t have depth anymore

Minnesota 4-24 from 3 tonight at Indiana... Granted Indiana is much better at D than us, but still. 34.6% from the field and 48 points with 3:30 left.
Hawkins 0-5 from 3
Mitchell 2-9
Christie 2-8

There is something to a teams psychology in sports. When shots fall for one or two guys, it can ramp up confidence for others.
Oh for sure. Still think we have been unlucky though. Watched Iowa State play last night. Sold defense, but they literally left BYU wide open the entire second half and they missed everything. This year for us those shots would be going in

Thought about that last night watching Sparty brick wide open 3 after wide open 3. If they were playing us I feel like they would have gone 12-17 instead of 2-17.

Maybe we are due for some negative regression in the tourney. Here’s hoping.

Maybe the secret is to leave them wide open so they have to think about it. When guarded closely they act instinctively. :)

I do wonder sometimes. Close out with an arm up, seems like the shooter never misses. If you're not gonna block the shot, I suspect it might be better defense to lower your arms on the close out. I've sometimes seen players lower both arms right before a player releases a free throw, and it must mess with the shooter's head, because I swear it increases the chance of a miss by 50%. (I think it's illegal in the free throw setting, though I've never seen it called.)
