F*** Michigan. F*** to Rez.

Enjoyed watching this Michigan team on both ends. They shot 2 of 15 from 3 and won. That's the difference between them and many teams. Dusty May put together one hell of a team. He didn't miss.
FIFY. I don't mean to demean your post, just nothing good should come to either of those. You are a better person than I giving kudos. They will forever remain in my very small and very exclusive "Dante's 7 Circles of Hell Hall of Fame Museum"

In all candor? Yes.
I somewhat agree here. I very rarely run across a Florida, South Carolina, or Alabama fan in my day-to-day life in the Chicago suburbs.

I run into Indiana and Michigan fans/alumni on a regular basis.

Of course the B1G sweeping those three titles is good for the prestige of the conference, but it does not make my life as an Illini fan any better. If anything, it makes it harder seeing Michigan and Indiana fans happy (especially in the sports they do not care about too much).

Watched the game and was in shock at how much the officials let go. Jaw dropping to my eyes. A total street fight with many hard physical plays not called, some honestly were ridiculous. Thought that helped UConn ultimately, as they committed more the longer they were behind. They still managed to out-foul even before the late game stuff.

I was glad to see UConn go down. They had a lot of fight but UM was the better team.

Memorable tournament. Should be a nice off-season the way things are looking initially. Staff and players really gave their all and deserve their accolades. The team managed a great finish in the NCAAs after a concerning slide in several OT losses. That FF banner raising will be sweet

I didn't watch the game and probably never will.....I'm sure the majority of posters here know of my hatred of scUM.....I will NEVER cheer for a scUM victory in any sporting event.......NEVER.............and I will NEVER cheer for the traitor to succeed in his sporting career....NEVER................

MY Illini got to the Final Four after a 21 year hiatus.....I fully expect MY Illini to return again in the next 1-3 years...................

I really really really do.....................

Come on pru...quit holding back and tell us how you really feel

I just don't have it in me to celebrate this. Michigan, UCLA and Indiana. Yuck.
While I don't "celebrate" it, either, I'm happy to rub it in the faces of my SEC colleagues down here every chance I get.

I couldn't care less what other people's opinions are, and I'm sure you all don't care about mine either. But it's the internet, and I can shar it anyway :)

I do always root for the Big Ten in post season games as it makes our conference look better, and thus, our school look better. On top of that, when the other teams in our conference win more, our wins over them mean more. If we want to be the best team in a conference full of teams that never win anything else, then we can just join the MAC.

The way I see it, if we're winning, then I want it to be against teams that are playing well. If we're losing, then it doesn't matter anyway.

The Big Ten won the tournament for the first time in like 25 years. We've won the CFB playoff three years in a row. This conference is great. That only helps Illinois. There is no other way about it.

Congrats to Michigan. ...

25-28 from the FT line seems the most remarkable stat of the game. 4 of 6 players perfect from the stripe. (probably more calls and better shooting than Hurley had anticipated)

just try to imagine the angst we would all have if IU had picked up Dusty May 3 years ago , before UM had a chance 2 years ago to get him, and they had won Nattys in football and hoops 75 days apart

The same amount who were at the watch party.
I am a U of I alum that grew up in MI as a diehard UM fan until I enrolled at U of I nearly 30 years ago now. Of course, fans show up when the team is doing well, but I think it is only mild hyperbole to say that more UM fans are interested in spring FB practice than the NCAA Tournament Championship.

My mom is from the South. Every time I would visit my relatives, they would always talk about how weak Illinois and the rest of the Big Ten is. I will always root for the Big Ten unless in tournaments and playoffs.
