Nova/Notre Dame to kick the season off!

Both teams looking to get early threes in transition. 27-24 Nova 6:05 left in the first half…

Expect to see an emphasis on early transition 3’s and getting the ball up and down all across college basketball.

I think the game is starting to catch up to the NBA style and analytics.

As of the preseason / early season, the Big Ten has a clear 5 worst teams: Oregon, Washington, Northwestern, Penn State, Rutgers.

Minnesota is down there as well. Cade Tyson can change that but as of right now he's awaiting a final decision on the challenging of the NCAA's 5-in-5 rule (he's filed in Colorado, it appears).

So are all these players going to actually play at the start of the season or will they sit out awaiting final approval?

You know, it’s wild trying to track all of it. A lot of guys, I believe, are playing under TROs and preliminary injunctions which can be dissolved or overturned (which has happened in a few cases already). Have to wonder if you’ll see players ruled ineligible mid-season.

The guys who are currently eligible will play.

The guys who are not currently eligible will not play.

If at some point during the season, someone who was ineligible becomes eligible, or someone who was eligible becomes ineligible… that’s when things will get really ugly.
