HUGE win for the angry garden gnome.
OU should change team name from sooners to laters ..........they really really should ........
Seton Hall played an away exhibition game against Monmouth on October 24th, winning 53 - 50. He played 16 minutes. Second most minutes after the starters. Scored 7 points (the highest scorer had only 10 points, so not far off). No assists. 3 turnovers.Mihailo Petrovic's new team, Seton Hall, plays tonight at 6:30. I'm interested to see how he does and how big of a role he has.
Probably trying to keep the “King” happy.Started, played 6 minutes, sat the rest of the game. Why even bother? He was not good.
Vaaks > BlackwellNot a great start to the season.
Hey me too!I got flamed pretty hard over the summer saying Blackwell was overhyped in the portal:
All this talk about Nebraska football makes me think, there are a lot of similarities between Cronin and Bo Pelini. Not a Cronin fan, but UCLA shoved AZ. Strong win. But still too early. Cronin still has plenty of time to screw up.
Wait til Cronin again finds out this year that he's going to have to travel across the country to play conference games. Not a Cronin fan, but UCLA shoved AZ. Strong win. But still too early. Cronin still has plenty of time to screw up.
Yes, felt the same way. Given the choice between Vaaks and Blackwell I would take Vaaks every day and twice on Sunday. Wouldn’t surprise me if we got him cheaper than what Duke paid Blackwell either.I got flamed pretty hard over the summer saying Blackwell was overhyped in the portal:
- Not a playmaker
- Average defender
- Was 2nd best player on a 24-11 team
I'm going to be following Duke a bit closer than I'd like to this season (yuck) after all that talk about them just buzz sawing anyone and everyone this year.
I didn't think the choice was between Vaaks and Blackwell. Originally we thought we could have them all, but then wasn't it QC and/or Stoj who allegedly waited to commit based on whether we got Blackwell?Yes, felt the same way. For all the Painter walks on water talk (and I do think he’s one of the best in the business), not sure there’s a coach in the BIG who quietly does more with less than Gard. For all of Purdue’s hype, Wisconsin has had a better conference record than Purdue the last 2 seasons. Gard continually pulls guys off of the transfer portal scrap heap and turns them into 20 PPG scorers. And Wisconsin was Blackwell’s only P4 offer. Wouldn’t surprise me if Purdue falls below Wisconsin in the BIG pecking order in the post Smith Edey era.
All of that to say, I think Gard made Blackwell look better than he really is. Can’t blame the kid for getting paid though.

QC didn’t wait to commit, but he waited to sign.Originally we thought we could have them all, but then wasn't it QC and/or Stoj who allegedly waited to commit based on whether we got Blackwell?
