And I’m fine with any or all of that.

I’m just saying they had the Man at the table and he brings up the area that is probably most in need of attention (the thirty yard gap between the field and the first row) and we get nothing other than we could use that area for some “interesting purposes”! What interesting purposes??? Big swing and a miss there!
True.

All I heard was discussion of amenity space to charge more for 'stratified' fan experiences--no new seating. I think that means the space under the horseshoe gets partially enclosed for a club of some sort with glass to see the field. Maybe that is some seating, but mostly, in my opinion, a kind of upscale beer garden. He also mentioned the endzone patios that are between the towers and the NEZ. I think they develop another club experience there.

The 'biggest video board' thing is also to enhance the in stadium experience. By the way it is getting kind of cringy how they are promoting it. I see future ridicule about it from opposing fan bases.

I kind of get the no new seating thing, given our ticket prices are some of the lowest, if not the lowest in the Big Ten.

So, I think the 30,000 foot view is to make the entire stadium experience better, louder, fuller with incremental changes. Then sell out consistently to be able to raise ticket prices. Then when/if the demand is high enough start scraping and building more capacity. If he said 10 years, that probably means 15 to 20.
What is cringy about how they are promoting it?

makes me think of this

Make no little plans. They have no magic to stir men's blood!

Daniel Hudson Burnham captures the courage and perhaps the hubris of architects and planners in Chicago

and we have “Grange Grove” with basically no trees - smh

I understand, but who is to say that my $250k for Keaton Wagler signing some autographs and doing a commercial isn't worth it? That's the free market. When you put someone in the middle of that, you open everything up bias judgment, unfair penalties, and poor oversight.

10 years at the earliest for SEZ dynamite. Time to get the Hello Kitty pillow out tonight and cry. 😂 Fighter Man, you'll be with me in spirit.
Doesn't Josh know that Scotty will most likely be beaming up long before then? I want to be here for the grand opening!!

THANK YOU! I have been bitching about that for years. Now seems to be a perfect opportunity to do that.
To me this solves part of the problem of the north endzone as an eye sore. It just needs more height and moving the old scoreboard from the south to the north would accomplish this. Is there a reason why this can’t work besides its old?

I think adding something on top of the current NEZ seating (other than the planned, thin ribbon board) would make it look BAD, since the structure is already so tall.

If the "patios" directly to the East and West of the NEZ ever got some sort of upgrade, I think these corners would be good spot for a real video/scoreboard.

And adding an old board to the new system will look funky - but I am sure whatever the finished product is, it will be awesome.

I drove through campus earlier this week and the construction crews have already removed the wording from the Kirby Street side of the scoreboard, we've all seen videos of the display screens being removed from the stadium side. I suspect that the scoreboard structure will be taken down pretty quickly, I'm excited to see the new scoreboard go in.

Can someone graphically put the south scoreboard above the north endzone just to see what it would look like? When I talk about height I mean the height of the scoreboard lining up with the height of the east side stands. If not that scoreboard maybe another one that mimics the new south scoreboard.

Like Auburns scoreboard.
