Giorgi Bezhanishvili leaves Illinois to pursue pro opportunities

I feel like next year we need to have a night where Ayo, Giorgi, Trent, Monte, and Kofi ( if he leaves) go back to the State Farm Center and get a proper send off. Like a fake senior night or something.
Might be hard if Monte or Trent play overseas but the DIA will try to make it work

Good for Giorgi. He deserves everything good that can come his way. I am happy he came here to contribute and kept things light at the same time. I am also glad for him that he will continue to grow in his career. I’m sure he will find happiness wherever he goes.

I'm sure they will have some kind of ceremony. They will definitely do something with Ayo & Kofi's jersey numbers

One of Underwood's signature recruits IMO. Came here when we were near the absolute bottom. Showed this staff has an eye for under the radar talent. One of the players who immediately set the tone for building a culture here.

Good luck Giorgi, now go make some big stacks in Europe, you deserve it. Truly an Illini for life.

All the best to him. Hope he keeps his options opening for returning. Vaccine rollout not great in Europe right now, may impact teams/finances/seasons.

I know some leagues have a limit on US players. Not sure if it is US college players or US born players. Giorgi would have an advantage as non US born player
