It's always good to give a HS kid another opportunity to play a football game. There aren't many of them.

I still have very mixed feelings on this. In one way, a two win team in the playoffs is pretty ridiculous. However there is giant disparity between conferences. For example: this result.

GCMS is 1 win 1A HOIC team that nearly upset a 7-2 2A in Illini West of the Lincoln Land West to quality for these playoffs. I have a feeling that the success of this new system will be dependent of random non-CCL 3 win or less teams this playoffs. Any of those teams advancing will a vote against any proposals to change the system back to the old one.

What is your problem with it? Every other sport allows every team in. There is a massive difference between competing in some conferences compared to others. The playoffs are full of blowouts until the semifinals and a lot of times the championship games are not competitive. The top teams are getting byes so let the other teams get a playoff win before they get blown out.
