Same as Chatta game.......spot the other team some points then do the panic hurry up.
We would not have beaten many teams in the tourny today- we just haven’t been playing well and had no offensive rhythm - it’s really inexcusable for the amount of time we had to get ready for the tournament to be completely out of sync
I don’t think either of the last two years we can blame on matchups - we haven’t played even remotely well enough to win either year
Yeah this whole winning consecutive big ten titles got real old….So ready for new blood
Curbelo will be great when he's the only option. It's a meh for me. We gotta get more athletic and long at the guard spot.
Those freshman give me a lot of hope.Good season. Onto next year, hopefully Jake and Kofi are back. Future is bright as we saw today
Yikes. Underwood: "Coaches decision." That is a shadow over the off-season.Curbelo with not a good exchange with staff at halftime was the cause of lack of 2nd half playing time.
Yep. Once again the ncaa let us know what they think about us with our second round opponent being regional final worthy. Smdh.I disagree. We were hovering around 4 points down all game against a team favored to beat us by 5. Easily could have won against a Saint Mary’s, Arkansas, or Providence today.
That’s not to say we played our best. We didn’t. But we played well enough to beat many teams.
Great Post!!the fatal flaw of this team is we had good shooters and good defenders. But we didn't have players that could do both besides Trent
It is odd, how much trouble we have inbounding the ball.Times a million. Where's all the folks calling out UNC and Hubert Davis yesterday? Coaches and players were absolutely putrid on simply inbounding the damn ball (and from my tv view they didn't look much like they cared, just kept doing the same thing over and over)
What was the deal with him getting upset at officials before game started and not being allowed to wear some gear so something?Curbelo with not a good exchange with staff at halftime was the cause of lack of 2nd half playing time.
Can't imagine how that game would've gone if they had Sasser and the other 10 ppg scorer I'm blanking on.KenPom was right about Houston. They are good, despite "not having played anyone."
Yeah I’m not sure what happened. They got some tick earlier in the season and seemed to do well. And then we hardly saw them until the very end.Waited three months too long to play the freshmen. Who knows where they would’ve been at this point if they got consistent tick all year. Disappointing.
They would have been a 1 or 2 seed. We lost to a good teamCan't imagine how that game would've gone if they had Sasser and the other 10 ppg scorer I'm blanking on.
Strange to say but Weber seemed to be a good set play coach after the 2005 year. Underwood’s strength so far is at player recruitment and development, not the in-game tactics part.It is odd, how much trouble we have inbounding the ball.
I don't mean to be irritating here, but during the Weber years (not just 2004-2006), our team scored a remarkable number of points on out of bounds plays, especially baseline out of bounds plays. Often, the buckets were point blank too. Are defenses better designed to stop that these days? I really don't know.
This hurts. A lot. Two years in a row losing in the round of 32 is just tough. Heck of a season, but it's gonna take a long time to get over this.
