Hey everyone, looking to sunset DirectV, lost my promotion many moons ago and paying roughly $165/month. I see they have Stream but its $85 and more expensive than all the other streaming services. All good info above, its been 7 months since anyone has posted, everyone still happy with YouTube Live & HULU+? Anyone have FUBOTV? Thanks

I have Fubo. It is pretty good until tourney time when games are on TNT, TBS, etc. For whatever reason it does not carry Turner channels

I love YouTube TV. They have pretty much all of the sports channels I could hope for and I've had no issues catching Illini games.

When we cut cords, we were down to YT or Hulu. We went with YT because of the unlimited cloud DVR and higher number of screens at the same time, but deals may have changed since we signed up.

The Hulu with Live TV guide is complete garbage. I couldn't get away fast enough. I have been very happy with YouTube TV.

What didn't you like about Hulu with LiveTV? I had DirectTV Stream (formerly AT&T) and just switched to Hulu. With any of these three you will see every game. I was between Hulu and YTTV and ultimately went with Hulu since it now includes Disney+ and ESPN+ at just $5 more a month.

have been using Hulu for 3 years (cancel for 4 months between BB until FB) - yes Hulu guide is garbage but we tried Youtube first and for whatever reason the images were blurry and the movements jerky - completely unwatchable - don't have those issues with any other streaming service (we have high data speed so that was not the issue). Hulu was 45 when started - seems like it goes up $5 or $10 a couple of times a year. guess i will have to revisit youtube and check out sportsurge

Thanks everyone. My choice is YTTV but the "boss" is chiming in that she prefers Hulu Live due to them having Discovery & History channels.

Unless they have changed something recently, their channel guide is only in alphabetical order. When you want to watch something at the end of the alphabet (TBS, USA, etc) you have to scroll past everything ahead of it. With YouTube TV you can customize the channel guide to put channels in any order you want.

Don't get me wrong, I have the Disney Bundle (Hulu, ESPN+, Disney+) and really enjoy the Hulu on-demand content. But the live TV guide was a deal-breaker for me.

Have used YTTV for multiple years now; best sports interface vs. everything I tried. Was a steal at $35 originally, but now it's up there w/ normal cable/satellite over $60 (which was eventually inevitable for all streaming services as the rights fees would at some point match cable and the platforms couldn't keep selling it below cost to add subscribers). Don't like the price, but love the cloud DVR, the fact that it never misses overtimes, etc. and the "key plays" features to quickly watch games I care less about.

Second this. I start my sub at the start of basketball season, and cancel it in April.

Do you actually cancel? Or do you use the pause feature? You can pause your subscription for up to 6 months and still keep all of your prior recordings when you un-pause.

I cancel, since I rarely/never go back to rewatch games.

Dumped directv several years ago and have had you tube tv for the past two years. Nothing but happy with the quality of their service, but I only watch sports and Blue Blood on U S tv, which is a vast wasteland as far as I'm concerned. Watch mostly Prime and Brit box and occasionally Freevie. The archiving system for you tube tv is great.

My wife loves their DIY and hgtv offerings as well.

Youtube TV is great! Can't get Bally Sports to watch Cards or Blues but get BTN which is great!

Only hiccups I have with YoutubeTV...
If you are recording a show (or a game) and you start watching like 20 minutes after it starts, you can't rewind to the beginning until after the show is over. So you either have to suck it up and watch from when you turn it on or wait.

The workaround to this is using the phone app and just turning on the show and pausing it.

Its kind of ironic, I live in Florida and get the B10 network on Direct tv's most basic package but if I want to watch the sec or acc I have to upgrade 2 or 3 levels.

Not true. If you select the channel it will ask if you want to watch live or start from the beginning. Works on the web interface, Amazon Fire TV app, WebOS app, Android app and the Roku app.

YTTV has nearly all of the Discovery channels but not the History Channel.

From what I read while researching the different streaming options Hulu did overhaul their entire user face about two years ago. That being said the channel guide is my biggest and perhaps only complaint thus far. They are still in alphabetical order (as is Direct TV Stream) but you can also make a tab with just your favorite channels. Overall it's still really clunky though. May have to try YTTV as it seems to be the most popular live steaming service.

I have had Hulu + live for about 4 years now and the channel guide is , I agree , a burden to navigate .....They recently changed their DVR " my stuff " section and allow numerous recorded events and will store them for 9 months now....................
The many price increases has me upset and sometimes my feed is not on pace with the audio , meaning the lips moving is a step off sometimes to what you hear........

But , I like it overall.....if you have Hulu + live and do premium add ons through them you don't get all the listings in the premium channels ....it's best to subscribe to the premium channels directly instead of through hulu .....a hulu rep turned me on to these facts and their customer service is better than most , at least as to my experiences.....
And I like the espn + and Disney + capability....................

You Tube TV was the best deal for us. All of the sports channels (BTN, ACC, SEC, ESPN, CBS Sports, Chicago Sports (Bulls games), MLB, NBA, etc). Also we are snow birds so it works in Illinois and Florida for $65 per month. No switching back and forth when we move locations. Except it does not include the Cubs channel but not missing much this year. :)
