How to watch the Illini

Oh, so the capital I in our new font is smaller than the lowercase i? Nope, don't like that.
I agree. I really like the font, but the initial uppercase I should be the largest/tallest letter-at least to the top of the two l’s.

For the past 3 or 4 seasons I've had YTTV just for basketball season and then cancelled. So far, I've still had access to DVR'd games from past years, even with the break in service, when I reactivate my account in Nov.

Hmm, interesting. I have not had that experience and I do the same thing. I am pretty much back to a clean slate when I reactivate. At least I am pretty sure. I seem to remember being disappointed every year that there weren't any games from the previous year that i had DVR'd. Maybe YTTV likes you better. Not arguing or anything I just thought I would mention it in case someone signs up and is expecting that and it might not work for everyone. Evidently, me.

I believe the YTTV only retains DVR items for 9 months even when you have an on going plan.

Looks like I’m misremembering how far back the recordings go for YTTV. With little kids, I haven’t actually had time to go back and watch games from previous seasons, just thought it would be cool.

Not sure where to post or if it has been posted somewhere else but it seems to be Illini day on the Big Ten Network. They are having the spring game for fball at 4, fball Ohio St at 6, '89 bball game against Georgia Tech at 7:30 the '90 bball game against LSU at 9

I am considering "cutting the cord" with regular TV and going all streaming. My one hang up, is needing to be able to watch every illini game. Is there anyone who has had success with this and what was needed/what was the cost. STL area of that matters

I subsribe to YouTube TV for $64/99 a month and was able to watch all the games that were televised last year, my first for this streaming service. The only downside is that I haven't been able to record games as in the past with DirecTV because there is no DVR. Perhaps there is a way to keep recorded games indefinitely but the games are definitely available for some time at least.

YouTube TV rocks. You can save and replay shows.

There is absolutely DVR with YoutubeTV. Just go to any program and click on it and you can record it.

Any of the major streaming cable services (and I do recommend Youtube TV, I got rid of it for Fubo TV to get the Marquee Network, but it's not as good), plus Peacock and you should be good to go.

For the moment I believe Comcast offers Peacock for free with a cable subscription. Comcast is evil and you should cut the cord, just FYI though.

@CalIllini66 is seemingly calling out that recordings eventually expire. Per their documentation ...

"As long as you maintain your membership status, live TV recordings will be saved for 9 months. Other programs will vary based on agreements with our content partners."

Well B1G Plus has not improved much... cannot view any IL events. Doesn't seem to recognize my subscription. Anyone know a tech support line? chatting with someone now but not getting anywhere.

I had the same issue. I started over and used a different email.

Had you already signed up and paid the fee? I was able to re-subscribe on Oct 28th and watch the bball game, so I've already paid for a month. This morning I wanted to watch vball game and nothing IL would view. Tried with Roku and browser, and nothing worked. Didn't get anywhere with chatting customer service...they're working on it! Not holding my breath.

Yes. It seemed to accept the payment, but it still kept saying I needed to subscribe to view the game. I logged out and back in, still no luck. I eventually paid with Paypal and a new email. I keep thinking I am going to see the charge on my card, but it hasn't shown up.

It is broken for me also. I can see my account profile, but it doesn't let me view any replays.

Find friends that have youtubetv, directv, and fubo. Give them a few bucks for passwords and save. I get every channel nationwide, Sunday ticket, all bally sports packs, sec, acc, etc. Pay $10/month total. It's time to stick it to directv and their friends.
