I'd love to hear opinions and projections for Illini baseball fans. Hartlieb is a going to road bumps this year with roster turnover from last season.

Maryland, Mich, IU, and Iowa will be hand-fulls.

Iowa could make it to Omaha, IMO...

I think the baseball program the last four years, and the softball team last year, show you how important the pitching coach at the college level. Tyra Perry, one of my favorite Illini coaches, made a change after just one year. Hartlieb hasn't after four years.

For those unfamiliar, Chase Burns was already a big time fireballing prospect at Tennessee, but transferred to Wake Forest to refine his stuff in their "pitching lab". If it works, he could be a top 5 pick by the time the draft rolls around. Unfortunate luck to draw him in this round robin event.

But what do you think about Illini uniforms against Wake Forest? Just as bad as Indiana basketball uniforms yesterday, I think.Get rid of them, please, just for me. Thanks.

Those are awful, especially since baseball gray goes great with navy (see a crapton of MLB jerseys including Yankees, Cardinals, and many, many others)
