Illinois wrapped up an 8-game home stand last night by defeating Western Illinois 12-1. The Fighting Illini go a perfect 8-0 during this stretch to improve their season record to 24-13.
They resume their Big 10 schedule this weekend in College Park, MD with a 3-game series vs the Maryland Terrapins.

I'm super uneducated on Illini baseball and college baseball in general, but I just observe that Dan Hartleb sure seems to win a lot considering how much everyone hates him.
Also, are USC and UCLA just going to destroy everybody when they enter the league?

I remember having a lot of fun watching our 2015 (?) team that won all of those games in a row and even hosted an NCAA Regional in Champaign. Love to see the baseball team doing well, and I really hope they keep it up!
Currently, of the four PAC teams joining the Big 10, Oregon is in second place in the PAC, USC is 4-5th and UCLA and Washington are the bottom two.
The reason is that many, including myself. attribute much of his past success to his former pitching coach, Drew Dickinson. When Drew left for the same position at UVA, the losses started piling up, mainly due to weak pitching.

On a related note, I saw Tyler Jay has made his MLB debut this year at age 30. Good for him sticking through it, though I think the Mets have sent him back down.
I know the ACC discussed many of their games being played at a neutral site in the Dallas metroplex.
