Yes. I know it's totally different being that height, but I've got long legs for being a hair over 6'0 (34-inch inseam), and I was squatting 275 within a few months after I started weight training at age 19. By the time I was 21, I was doing deep squats (not rear end-to-grass, but breaking parallel) with 465. The only way I can imagine a naturally strong, athletic male squatting less than 225-250 is if they've literally never done it and have to condition the CNS by grooving the movement pattern.
My guess is that some of these guys were squatting quite a bit more than their listed starting weights 8 months ago, but not doing it with the form/depth Fletch requires.
