Right now it looks like MSU, Minnesota and Purdue will be the top 3. After that it's a dog fight that we can be in the middle of.
Michigan/Maryland looks good as well... I think we close out 7th in the conference

Is anyone concerned that Illinois beat Tenn-Martin by 3 but Akron beat Tenn-Martin by 17?

It seemed to me that this year we had the worst non-conference schedule I could remember. So just for the heck of it I looked at KenPom ratings and non-conference strength of schedule since 2002:
Year / NCSOS / Final Overall Ranking
2018 302 98
2017 158 66
2016 176 125
2015 287 61
2014 278 53
2013 185 39
2012 219 76
2011 68 18
2010 103 57
2009 239 25
2008 70 51
2007 156 36
2006 268 9
2005 157 2
2004 89 13
2003 257 5
2002 32 8

Just looking at stats through 4 games, and I'm happy to see that we're going 9 deep. Minutes:
104 Finke
102 Smith
92 Black
83 Alstork
76 Te'Jon
76 DMW
73 Jordan
71 Kipper
====
22 Spicey G
23 Rest of team
Other stats of note:
Mark Smith is 20-20 on FTs
Leron has an A/T of 2.0
Te'Jon is picking pockets with 6 steals
Jordan is 50% from 3, while the rest of the team has been ugly, hitting under 23%.

I want to beat them at full strength. I want them to clone Michael porter 12 times and create 2 of every position and a couple managers. Then beat that team too. Want no excuses from either side in this game. Just hoopin.
That said, hope he’s okay come June cause it would suck to be the potential number 1 pick overall and have something like that set you back.
Akron also hit something like 15 3-pointers too.
