Can't speak for everyone, but the dog won't let us sleep in here 😂
Tonight will probably be an overnighter for some since Kofi is declaring on Friday. Exciting times...

If I was advising the incoming frosh I would tell them to make every second count while on the court.....They should get ample time in the OOC games to show their skills , as once the B1G season starts it will be players who perform best and who brad and staff have the most confidence in ...

I really want to win the B1G regular season and to kick scUM's arse like last year...........then win the BBT and go to the dance AND...........................................

You know what is next.........................NATTY for the Illini.........................................

I don't think Plummer would have transferred to a program where he wouldn't start. He played 28 MPG last year and is a starting caliber player. Plus, I think they'll want a shooter of his like in the starting lineup to play off Curbelo.
I just think the starting spots after AC and Kofi are up for grabs. No guarantees at 2-4.

But I do expect plummer over hutch.

I also expect a nice surprise.

And, what better way to instill the right culture than having TF and DMW showing you the ropes?
If anyone on the team goes through a year with these teammates and still looks to leave, clearly best for everyone that point.

Games need to be played but BU has captained this ship through rough waters.

How ironic would it be if this off-season, despite the losses of players and staff, becomes the period looked back upon as the time where Illinois basketball came of age under...Underwood

Agreed, but add Miznoz to the list to start things out properly.

Belo, Trent, and Kofi are starters and high minutes guys. Hutch or DaMonte as the third guard should replace Ayo’s rebounding. Am guessing it will be Grandy at the four with Hawk coming in with Omar as a pair. If you add Plummer as the fire off the bench (ala Belo last year) you have 8 players which seems to be the normal rotation. That said we have had a frosh starter every year. If that happens this year we will be really good because the eight previously mentioned are really solid BIG players.
Barring the injury bug I think you are spot on. If one of the freshman breaks into the lineup that means they are playing very good.

Share your concern about lack of playing time for the freshmen. Fortunately, we're gonna blowout a bunch of teams. There's definitely a lot of playing time daylight after this season, which should assuage a lot of disappointment. Plus, these kids aren't dummies. They know the guys ahead of them are better than they are. Hopefully, that will fuel them to work even harder.

The other piece of this is pretty much no matter where they would have gone this year, they would have been in the same boat. The class of 2021 has to understand the long game here. There’s d1 level players who didn’t even get recruited because of super seniors.

You are putting too much faith in 18/19 year olds to play the long game and be logical. If necessary we can introduce you to Adam Miller as an example of how nothing makes sense

For me it's slaughter these teams in order..

1) Indiana (They will always be my #1 hated team)
2) Miznoz
3) Iowa
4) Michigan
5) Kentucky if we meet them in the Tourney.. if UK even makes the tourney.. *derp*

Everyone else I'll be fine winning by any margin.
Just a thought, but maybe we should first receive an affirmation from Kofi that he is indeed coming back before we decide who we are going to blow out this coming year.

Which goes back to the most important thing... Just win. Play whoever will put you in the best position to win. The rest will work itself out

I wonder if we'll see a noticeable uptick in guys transferring up from lower levels to D1 in the next few years for that reason.

You will see a lot of "transferring up" in the future because of NIL. Bigger school, bigger market, bigger conf = more money

Iowa is going to absolute trash this year. I'll thoroughly enjoy smoking them.
