I would like to know when we can get a look at the remainder of the schedule. I mean the BIG games.

If Co-Hawk continues playing great defense, rebounds, distributes the ball, and makes hustle plays, he will get his points. The thing that I would like to see is his confidence continue to rise offensively as the season goes along. I believe the key for him is getting in the Flow of the game. In other words, the shots he passed on last year will be taken automatically with more confidence and thus accuracy. The passing on this team should be better and he should be in better position to hit some open shots. That is my hope!

I like this for CH.

I see him as a "glue guy" who still gets 12-8-3 plus steals and blocks. 😁 He can/should be a leader with his energy and forget about the stat sheet.
He's been a pass-first guy since HS. I think the pressure to be a focal point of the offense is impacting his decision making. He'll get his stats if he continues to play his natural energy game.

I see him more of a glue/defense guy, too. His problem on the offense end is pretty simple. For example, when he is supposed to make a three point shot, make a three point shot. If he can't, it is not a confidence issue but a repetition issue. Same thing goes for going to the basket.

So you want to see him double his production from last year though he’s likely not going to double his mpg. Could happen, though I think 9-6-2 is more realistic.

It is tough to predict stats in a normal year let alone one when bringing in a bunch of newcomers and changing both the offensive and defensive game plans. If he hits your numbers, I’m guessing we’re in for a special season and he declares for the draft.

Hard left turn onto a gnarly danger filled side street

I do not buy into the glue guy theory. You put 9 guys in a rotation that are interchangeable and who can put the ball in the bucket multiple ways, that is the team I want. We had a glue guy in both Ayo and Kofi and it did not pan out. We have a balanced, tough nosed, athletic team who will slice and dice defenses and guys on the other side who can play hard core Defense. If this team dials it up with chemistry, we will be a contender this year. This is very similar to the Baylor team and they did not have a glue guy.

I guess that’s why it’s important to identify what a “glue guy” is. I’d say it’s someone who takes pride in is defense, hustles, gets on the floor, makes the right play, supports his teammates, and worries a lot more about the scoreboard than the box score.
Give me all the glue guys.

If those guys were glue guys, then I'm Dr J.

I definitely agree with your definition more than the other. I'd add a couple other items. Steps up and plays out of position when necessary (injuries, foul trouble, matchups). Never gets "down" when the buckets aren't coming for him.

Anyway, I'd love to see CoHawk be that type of guy. But I'm not seeing it really yet.
