Guessing Rodgers is quick enough to guard guards with average quickness/athleticism (by BIG standards). Beyond that, we'll see.

But the flip side is, Rodgers is a mismatch for the vast majority of guards.

Gonna be a very interesting experiment. FWLIW, I'm pretty damn long on Rodgers stock.

Rodgers is going to do so many different things to help us win games. We can work out the specifics later.
Rodgers left Mexico with glowing praise from the Team USA coaching staff, including Colorado head coach Tad Boyle, who was the Team USA head coach, and Oklahoma State head coach Mike Boynton, an assistant on Team USA.

Underwood got text updates on Rodgers throughout the week and received glowing praise for the incoming freshman given Rodgers willingness to assume what role was needed, dive on the floor for loose balls and overall impact on winning.

“Mike gave him the ultimate compliment. He texted me after two days of practice and he said, ‘I don’t know your roster very well but he’ll find a way. I absolutely love him,’” Underwood said earlier this month. “I congratulated Mike after the gold medal game and he said, ‘I had him for two weeks and I love him more after two weeks than I did after two days.’ He just impacts winning. They played him at a variety of spots. That winning mentality, that experience will be great for him. I know what that did for Ayo (Dosunmu).”

I think most of us are well aware of this. Some of us are downright giddy that he's ours. The questions being debated are legit: how well can he guard guards? and how often will he be a primary facilitator? One thing's for sure, Underwood is gonna find out.

I think Rodgers freshman year will be better than Monte's Super Senior year. Ratio me to death with this take

I'll just let the eyes do the talking....

I have been watching all the developments on this forum. I have seen the tremendous recruiting successes. I have learned about the coach's decision to rework the offensive philosophy to address the current roster and evolve to a more NBA style of attack. I have heard reports that our new team will be elite defensively. I have come to understand that the transfer players really like it here, are melding nicely with the team, new coaches and very talented incoming frosh. And, we have very talented incoming frosh.

Having learned these things I will make this statement: we are going to be very good this year, maybe even better than the optimists on this site would think.
I can't wait for the season to begin so as to see all these great factors come together for real.
Lets effin go.

Kinda off topic question but figured this was the best place because I think I’ve seen it mentioned here before. Does anybody know where our coaches get their orange blazers from? I’ve moved up a seat at my orange and blue school, and I’d like to start that tradition on the sidelines for big games.

I figured if I’m gonna do it, I’m gonna do it right, and try to get it from THE place. Hopefully they’ll ship to Texas.

Thought I read once that one of the coaches got theirs from Joseph Kuhn's in Champaign. Could be wrong.
