With Edey my biggest question is his conditioning. Can he still be effective playing 30ish minutes a game?

And I’m with you on IU. I don’t get all the hype and how they go from a sub 500 bubble team to consensus favorite to win the league. Ironic thing is I think they went from a great matchup to a tough matchup for us, as TJD couldn’t handle Kofi and Trent could lock up Johnson. But I’m not sure those 2 guys alone can beat us. Shooting should limit their ceiling and cost them enough games to keep them from winning the league IMO.

5 weeks from today. Can’t wait for the season to start!
I agree, Edey will be pushed and they do not have Williams to back him up. We will make sure we run him to death

Harris, Rodgers, Epps, Clark, Paxton

someone leave?
Wasn’t he talking about the three freshmen who could play the point? Maybe Harris was excluded from that conversation.

I hope none have left! And I like Paxton too!

That was in reference to freshmen that could play the point.
I didn’t listen to whole presser, but this was the reference I heard. And while Paxton seems like a nice add as a walk-on, I would almost guarantee that if a number was used in questions or answers regarding freshmen, it would be 4. Walk-ons are not talked about in pressers — well, except for Tyler.

I wonder who was not running hard at the first practice, that Shannon had to call him out? Has to be a newbie!

He'll learn that that dog won't hunt! The Illini pride themselves as being the best conditioned team...

But the point was that only 3 freshmen were mentioned because they were the only ones that could play point.

so i guess it has to be Clark, Epps and Harris because Rodgers clearly cannot, should not and will not ever be playing point never ever
