I heard yesterday that UKy has had level 3 NCAA violations. Guys getting paid from a hospital and not working. They didn’t say whether it was football or basketball.
They must have had an NIL deal from a health insurance company amirite fellas?Guys getting paid from a hospital and not working.
How in the world does a program like UK get caught doing this? A no-show job--especially if they can be labelled as Remote or Hybrid--is one of the easiest things to get away with.I heard yesterday that UKy has had level 3 NCAA violations. It would be nothing to have a nice color pamphlet out the same day with the new hospital slogan -"Wildcats Care" - showing the players in scrubs and with stethoscopes around their necks. NIL all the time. How in the world does a program like UK get caught doing this? A no-show job--especially if they can be labelled as Remote or Hybrid--is one of the easiest things to get away with.
But more to the point, how does the NCAA think they've got any jurisdiction over this? Gritty's right, all the hospital has to do is frame it as NIL.
I believe it is FB players............I don't have a link........................I heard yesterday that UKy has had level 3 NCAA violations. Guys getting paid from a hospital and not working. They didn’t say whether it was football or basketball.

Those highlights remind me that, for all his faults and reversion to mediocrity, what a good x & o coach Weber was. LOT of good passes and decisions in those plays. Some good defense there too.Brian Randle
This highlight clip reminded me how much I hated Steve Alford as both a player at IU and the coach at Iowa. Those highlights remind me that, for all his faults and reversion to mediocrity, what a good x & o coach Weber was. It’s hard to imagine any hospital system being flush with money right now. Contrary to popular belief, hospital systems across the country are still reeling from the impact of treating COVID patients (especially rural hospitals). Thanks to our wonderful health care system and insurance companies tightening the screws on reimbursement, hospitals really only make money on elective surgeries, which were all but canceled during COVID peaks. Not to mention the nursing shortage and many knock-on effects from that too. Just not a great look for the hospital either here, from a publicity standpoint.I heard yesterday that UKy has had level 3 NCAA violations. Guys getting paid from a hospital and not working. STOP MY HEART CAN ONLY TAKE SO MUCH
BU's eyes lit up talking about Ty "That Guy" Rodgers
Love the way Coach motivates guys with his 'Brad-isms'
The University is not allowed to pay for "fake" work. Independent entities can do whatever they want."Kentucky has self-reported violations to the NCAA following an investigation into athletes being compensated for part-time work that was not performed at the university hospital."
"The report does not specify which teams the athletes were from"
Practice reports from an outside observer! Its like finding gold!
In a worrying way for 2022-23 but a positive way over the long term, this all has a whiff of "Sergio McClain at PG" about it, doesn't it?
I have a question about that new practice facility. In the pictures that I've seen of the gym area there doesn't seem to be any place for spectators. In the 'old' gym there was a balcony for spectators and there were typically a couple times during the year when we could get in to watch practice. Does that 'old' gym still exist or is it gone? Is there space in the 'new' gym to watch from?

The weight of that lingering fear that we would be right back where we started once they were gone has been lifted. It's almost inconceivable that we could be more excited about Illinois basketball....after Kofi and Ayo.
Yet here I am.
