TSJ popped in at #1 Transfer in Andy Katz list of top 15 Transfers.
Will be interesting to see what Matt Mayer brings. Surprised that he’s not on this list as well. With as many minutes as we lost and what he put together for very successful and talented teams - I’d guess that the casual observer would assume he’s going to have a big volume year at least.

Indiana to win the BigTen? Interesting.

So I guess everyone is assuming 4th time is the charm for a roster who’s stars have played together now for 3 seasons to date and have never even finished above .500 in the conference? But now they put it together to win it all?

Sorry, not buying it.
I'm a BIT biased, but the Indiana hype is pure wishful thinking. The sports media prostrates itself before the "Blue Bloods" of every sport, and the old guard remembers a time when Indiana was anything special at all ... they can't let it go, and they're pathetically over-eager to get it back whenever there is a flicker of hope. There is absolutely no reason going forward that IU should be better than Illinois, Michigan, OSU or any other program with a decent history and plentiful resources.

Spoiler alert ... did you guys watch how the best 3-9 team of all time "took the next step" this football season?? Lol, I think there is a VERY decent chance that Indiana basketball is about to pull a Nebraska football SO hard. And I would love that. Everyone talks about their run toward the end of the year to beat Michigan (who, until a short burst in the Tournament, simply was not that great of a team last year) and then beat Illinois by one point in one of our worst games. Suspiciously fewer people are focusing on IU getting 30-pieced by a mid-major in the First Round. :ROFLMAO: This is an excellent comparison, if you ask me!

2009-10 Illini
Record:
21-15 (10-8)
High AP Rank: #21, after beating absolutely nobody ... never ranked again after losses to Utah and Bradley...
Home Stretch: Beat #13 Wisconsin in the BTT Quarterfinals before losing to #5 Ohio State in OT in the Semifinals
Postseason: NIT, #1 seed ... lost in Quarterfinals to Dayton

2010-11 Illini
Preseason Rank:
#13, ENTIRELY based on "returning so much"
High AP Rank: #12 ... before losing to UIC at the United Center...
High Point: 13-3 (3-0) before a trip to Penn State...
Collapse: Lose 4 of the next 5 and 6 of our final 10
Postseason: Limp into the Tournament as a 9-seed, losing in the Second Round

2021-22 Indiana
Record:
21-14 (9-11)
High AP Rank: Never ranked
Home Stretch: To break a 5-game losing streak, finish 4-2, including a win over #16 Illinois and two very close losses to Rutgers (66-63) and at #8 Purdue (69-67)
Postseason: NCAAs, #12 seed ... win their play-in game and lose to Saint Mary's 82-53

2022-23 Indiana
Preseason Rank:
Usually around #10-15, ENTIRELY based on "returning so much"...........

Sometimes, you can't teach an old dog new tricks.

Seems like his health may be an issue.

I don't hear Dainja discussed at all. Thought he could be a key to the season. Is the thought he will be a 5 pts, 5 rebounds a game guy or closer to a 10 pts, 7-8 rebounds a game guy?

Just a reminder, Torvik has Dain as the 10th man and a projected 1.5 PPG

There is noway in hell that Dain averages just one point per game, with all of the skills that he possess!!! Dain will average between eight to twelve points a game. If Dain only scores one point per game we are in trouble
Dang....that's
