I'd say kinda like the George kid from Baylor a few years back.

This Domask comp's been thrown out there for pretty much all wing/frontcourt guys in this cycle. Matter of fact, KJ probably isn't even a wing. Has became a bit of an immature comp IMO.
We could only hope they would be able to do the things Domask did for us. His particular skill set and basketball IQ are a rare combination. There just aren't that many capable of that out there.

Don't necessarily know why they're playing...thought they lost in the knockout stage...but here it is happening right now...

The knockout round only eliminates a team from the championship bracket to the classification bracket. Lithuania needs a win today to advance to 5th place game and hopefully earn a spot in next year's u19 world cup.

Got the W. KJ played more of the playmaker role today. 9 points 6 assists and really should have been way more than that. Nojus is a very good scorer, but he has never seen a shot he didn't like. Should be playing their last game tomorrow and then KJ will be on his way back to Champaign this next week!

Now ranking international freshmen on 247Sports
https://www.news-gazette.com/newsle...cle_144d6e94-5145-11ef-97e6-ef873e455d18.html
Includes Illinois' freshman duo of Kasparas Jakucionis and Tomislav Ivisic, who will officially be four-star recruits. Jakucionis, 6-foot-6 guard out of Lithuania via FC Barcelona, will check in at No. 36 in the class. Ivisic, a 7-1 Croatian, played for SC Derby in Adriatic League, will be ranked No. 51. Canadian wing Will Riley is a five-star recruit that ranks No. 19 in the class, per 247Sports, after reclassifying.

I’m still thinking of Ivisic as more of a transfer than freshman but if they insist….that gives us 19,30,36, and 51 from the top 100. Not bad at all.

From what I’ve seen in KJs highlights would a John Stockton or Jason Kidd comp maybe be better as a direction?
It’s a little lower for me. I’m thinking Mark Price?

He is real good, but I feel like we need to “pump the brakes”.

I am hopeful, but realistic.

That’s a good comp. Was more talking about style not ability but yeah very good comp to me

If people are expecting him to have All American, TSJ/Ayo level production...it ain't happening. We'll see how it plays out but probably a 15-5-5 season is the ceiling for him. Probably likeliest he hovers around that or just a little bit lower...but that would be great production nonetheless if he's able to pull it off...

Tangent 🚨 ‼️ Alert:

Mark Price ain’t chopped liver; just saying.
If he’s lower…its a very little bit lower IMO. One guy was on Dream Team 1 the other Dream 2. Stockton was a better defender. Price was a better shooter…especially long range. They both had a lot of assists. (Edge:Stockton) JS had Karl Malone and Price didn’t. Sure, MP had Harper & Daugherty but it wasn’t the Mailman. Price wasn’t lucky enough to have the supporting cast or the longevity that Stockton…so a direct head to head comparison is tough.

He’s one of the most underrated dudes to ever lace up sneaks. What Buddy Guy and Mark Knopfler are to guitar. That’s what Mark Price is to the NBA.

I didn’t mean to go off on a tangent or give you hard time about it…it’s just that Price was my guy. I see some Price in Kaspar’s game too.

Price was a 6' SG (in college, anyway). KJ has a lot more in his bag than Price did
What are you talking about?Price was the point and Dalrymple was the shooting guard while at GT.

I don’t know if KJ does or not. I haven’t seen enough. Time will tell. Until then, I am going to temper my expectations.

These are terrible comps. Very different stylistically
Agreed 100%. It's also ridiculous to put KJ in the same sentence with the all time greats of the game before he's played a single game in college. We're getting a really good player. Can we let him carve his own path before we set expectations that are well beyond reason please?

Love the guitar comparison.
