I want a good season and think this is a really talented group but man, the amount of roster turnover is a huge turnoff. Am I the only one that’s struggling to get excited for this team? Aside from DGL I don’t really feel an attachment to any of these players. It just feels very…transactional. I feel like Bielema is using the money he has to retain the guys he develops and then upgrade where we can. Underwood, though a great coach, doesn’t really seem too concerned with the majority of his recruits transferring out and seems like recruiting over is often the case. I understand this is the world we live in now but I just struggle to feel any attachment here. I think that’s a big piece of college basketball that’s going to be hard to replace.

Is this just for new subscribers? The links in that article just open the app and I already have a monthly subscription active canceled. If it had an easy way to re-up for the year, I’d probably do so.
I had to Uninstall the app, go to their site and the offer was their. If you just go through the app it won't give you the offer.

Not sure if it has been mentioned previously but is there a reason the Illini don’t get into one of these tournaments?

We have 31 games on the schedule, so I wonder which two are officially a non-conference tournament.

The scheduling rules as I know them:
* Play 29 games (no restrictions) plus a 2 game non-conference tournament
* Play 28 games (no restrictions) plus a 3 game non-conference tournament

The fact that the NCAA lists these as two different options has always struck me as odd. Logically, anything that meets the second standard also meets the first. Just call the third game in the tournament a no-restriction game.

Seeing the Illini play in the Maui is one of my bucket list vacations.
Kind of a bummer, but not a huge one.
Same here … it’s a bit of a mini-Mecca for any rabid hoops fan. :(

However, we cannot complain too much when it comes to cool non-conference roadtrips Brad has set up for us vs. relevant programs! We’ve had very cool matchups in New York and Vegas the last couple years.

It's a 3 game non-con tournament. We're in a round robin with Arkansas, Little Rock, and Maryland-Eastern Shore.

100% a great trade off.
