- how was I to know, she was with the Russians too?
???Let's hope the coaching staff is as well
0 FGs, 3 pts, 3 FTs - combined production the last 3 minutes vs NW and final 5 minutes vs TENN. That's where that "improving" starts with for me.This season can still absolutely be a success.
We’re currently #16 in KenPom and our overall rating is as close to #7, 11-0 Florida as #2 Tennessee is to #1 Auburn.
We’re right in the thick of it.
Keep improving game over game. Lock in some big Q1 wins. And once we get to March, anything can happen.
Best restaurant: Nando MilanoHey everyone! I'm bringing a couple of business partners with me to the USC game on the 11th. What's the nicest restaurant / best steakhouse in Champaign right now? Would love to book something special.

Nando Milano is a pretty nice Italian place to go, quaint, and pricey. I believe they are now serving steak, and yes, they are pricey. Really good food.Hey everyone! Biaggi's for great Italian food. The Ribeye is a good steakhouse as well and its a Champaign fixture.Hey everyone! I'm bringing a couple of business partners with me to the USC game on the 11th. That is also 9th in the Big Ten - right in the middle.
Illinois ranked as the 25th most valuable athletic program in the country, pulling in 148 MILLION in revenue. I wonder how much of that is from the basketball side....we pretty much have the worst football program over the last decade compared to others in our tier.
Other than Notre Dame, it should be considered an embarrassment to be behind any ACC school for our program. The table was based on Fiscal Year 2023, so there's a chance we gain some ground next year when the value of the former PAC-12 members is fully realized.

We are only behind Clemson and Florida State from the "traditional" ACC schools. Considering they have a substantially larger football attendance than Illinois, it should be no surprise that we are behind them. I would not even be embarrassed by being behind them. Illinois football has lagged in the revenue department for decades. It will take time to close any of these gaps.Other than Notre Dame, it should be considered an embarrassment to be behind any ACC school for our program. Okay. Yeah, I can see it.I've been thinking about KJ having a resemblance to a classic slayer--hope he can conquer the goliaths we face this year!

In skimming the news about the football team, I noticed that we have lost to the transfer portal a punter who is currently 31 years old. Australian, high school graduate in 2011.
It's not basketball, but: to me this is both comedic and something that, for the sake of competitive balance (or some such medieval, chivalrous concept) needs to be reconsidered.
Plus that Aussie accent has got to be attractive to the ladies. To be 31, on a B1G team and campus. Man, to be him would be pretty cool, for many reasons.
