How is Arizona in the upper right quadrant?
Slightly OT, but for a school with at least a DECENT all-time "brand" or whatever, why does it always seem like Maryland plays a disproportionately embarrassing non-conference schedule? Lol. Schools like Illinois, Purdue, MSU, Ohio State, etc. seem to have no problem setting up entertaining and challenging non-conference games almost every year. Even when we were bad several years ago, we scored multi-year series vs. the likes of Gonzaga and Arizona. Every year when I see Maryland looking "good" around this time of year, I take a peak at their schedule, and it's a joke compared to other "basketball schools."

Why? Same reason that IU and Iowa do.

IMO, I think Tre White will have a lot to do with how well we do In 2025.
Beginning the year I was not a huge fan, but he does have skills and a bit of the "loose screw" mentality.
Kind of gives me the Ron Artest vibe, I loved the way Artest played with a bit of chaos.
Let’s hope it doesn’t end up being THAT MUCH chaos. We don’t need any sort of deadly “Harm at State Farm” similar to “Malice at the Palace”…back in the day. 😂

Andrew Luck recently became Stanford's GM for football, this article goes into more detail about the job: (https://www.si.com/fannation/name-i...at-stanford-why-general-manager-is-a-misnomer)

"On the field, he is tasked with overseeing player evaluation, recruiting strategy, managing the coaching staff, and managing the student-athlete experience. Off the field, he has several business responsibilities, including sponsorships, alumni engagement, and fundraising."

I would be surprised if this much work falls onto Ganta's shoulders because that seems like a large portion of Bret's job, but the off-the-field stuff would certainly allow Bielema to focus more on the football coaching.

I thought Ganta was hired for Brad's program?

GMs for college will help alleviate the burnout we’ve seen from recent coaches.
Yeah, it’s a good idea. It feels like we’re leading (thanks to JW) on new org structure roles that support our programs operating at a high level. Love that we’re no longer following or refusing to invest in those positions.

I love this hire. I've had a general interest in his contributions since reading an article about how his (Ganta's) friendship with Tyler Underwood morphed into becoming a big influence with helping BU accept the role of analytics in running our basketball program. If only we could bring back Gentry, much of that support staff from Brad's early tenure would come mostly full circle.....
