He did shot a 3.. it was ugly.. but he shot it.. now 2/2 on FTs and 4 rebounds.. outside of that, he has pretty much not exsisted on the court...

Did Brad get another one right letting him trasnfer out. The only one Brad has missed on is Brandon. Brads track record for letting people transfer out and that player not excelling at his new spot is pretty darn good.

Canada is leading right now, middle of the 3rd Q

Rez will regret leaving. Also yes, coach and his staff have an innate sense for talent, which is unique. They and he prove it every year.

letting him transfer out? plantation days are over. we wanted him (as seen by a signed NIL contract). he chose to bolt anyway

Plantation days? yeah.. nothing like that.. I think picking cotton vs playing D1 basketball is no where on the same specturm.

Let me clarify... "Let him leave" meant that he wanted even more ( ball in his hands, shooting 3s, or whatever the excuse was) and Brad said no, therefore, let him leave. College basketball players making $$$ is nothing like a plantation where people are slaving for nothing. Even 20 years ago, atheletes went to school for free leaving with zero debt.

Lets stay away from extreme language like "plantation days" when referring to college athletes.

100%

He's got that pitbull attitude you love to have in the paint.

In this era, value is really matters. It's not so much 'do you want a guy?', but 'what price are you willing to pay, given the market for him?'. Programs will lose good players, and that will be the right decision.

This is the camp I'm in. Whether the 22nd falls on a Monday or Wednesday, it's still close enough to Christmas that most companies are either off or people are using their PTO to prep for the holiday. It feels like it's the perception of it being on a Monday driving ire rather than actually looking at the calendar date.

I'll be honest, if we weren't expecting our first baby at the end of October, this is the year I'd try to con my husband into going down. Working in a high school I'd be off already, and he always takes the week off Christmas off. It would be perfect for our timing. Alas, baby girl to be has other plans for us and I'll be cheering from the couch again.
Well said and congrats! We drove down from Chicago two years in a row before our first was born the day before Braggin’ Rights in 2023. Haven’t been to the last two, but I’m excited to get back in the next couple years!

Not gonna lie, seeing Morez Johnson be a core player on the USA 2006 born age group team definitely is kind of tough lol. Even though a number of American born 06s were in the Draft.

AJ Dybantsa (who played a year ahead) is going to be something special.

General Public season tickets become available July 11.

Does anyone have an idea of what the lowest available rows in sections 209-217 and 233-241 might be?

No one has any idea yet. Some folks here may share what they can get when their IFund time slots open over the next two days.

Morez will do very great things at Michigan. System may even be the better fit (though probably not the biggest deal over Illinois but have done very well with athletic big guys). Illinois success is not dependant on the matter of fact that he fails. About time people accept (because eventually have to).

I wasn't sure where to put this, but I thought it was interesting that we had more games vs. Tennessee coming up after just having finished a 2-game series, so I wanted to see the teams we have intentionally scheduled the most since 2000 in the non-conference. This will exclude long-standing annual events like Braggin' Rights, tournaments like Maui where we cannot control the opponent(s) and things like the Big Ten/ACC Challenge games. However, I included "one-off" matchups like Texas at Madison Square Garden in 2022-23, as I felt those might involve mutual effort from both programs. Also limiting it to "major programs" (which I admit is subjective) for simplicity's sake.

So yeah ... if you, like me, feel like we have played Arizona a billion times, you are right! This doesn't even count 2 meetings in the NCAA Tournament and 1 at Maui. This is kind of an interesting visual, though, of how we can stagger these games and achieve the simultaneous goals of playing a game at the UC, giving the season ticket holders good home games and giving other programs a return game.

Does anyone know when tickets go on sale for the tennessee game in Nashville? Is there an Illinois section?
