I mean they literally talked about him in the same category as Braden Smith for the next 6 months after that (and numerous times claimed they regret saying that). In all honesty, his overall season was an under on what they were selling.Team wise? ABSOLUTELY We are a wonderful high productivity engagement farm.
Individual player? absolutely not

On Illinois after CHawk left for KSU and I quote "Coleman Hawkins has done more in terms of elevating Brad Underwood and the program than Brad and staff has done to help him". This is a #162 3 star recruit btw. As if his development while at Illinois didn't get him paid.

Any idea the potential date and opponent? Looking at the dates, seems like a possible Tuesday between UCONN and Tennessee or maybe the Saturday 12/13) between Tennessee and the Mizzou game. Last year we played Tennessee on 12/14, and I would think a 2 week gap between games is too much.
My money is on Georgia on 12/13. They have a gap in their non-conference schedule and are another SEC team we haven't played much

i don't think that's entirely true. comparitively, they immaturly talk down about certain guys way more than hyping them up....when it comes to singling out a player to hype up that is pretty rare (especially when it more-so falls in the insightful category rather than just personal liking). I'm not suggesting they're some guru insiders, but there's been fairly decent discourse here that they're well connected to a few B10 staffs including Illinois.
Don't think wagler starts, but there's definitely a possibility he's the 6th or 7th guy in the mix of Ben/Davis/Mirkovic.

Wagler will not be a starter, but I do think he will have a positive impact this season, especially as a shooter. He can handle it very nicely as well.

Sleepers guys push ten videos a day and are so random. I quit them a few months ago and haven't missed them at all as they, like so much of social media, just troll and repackage/repost. very rarely has the starting lineup been this set heading into an illini basketball season. start the twins together, stojakovic, boswell, petrovic.
Don't think anyone expects him to be a starter this year...too many talented and experienced guys ahead of him. But my hope is that he can fill the DGL role with much more consistency. Just take care of the ball, play his butt off on defense, hit open shots, and hustle on the boards without big mistakes... all the while soaking up what it means to be a B1G warrior.
Then over the next couple of years, become a two inches taller Deron Williams. He should have a very satisfying career for the Illini.
Lee should be a nice piece off the bench as well. Very physical guard that can score. Jaskys is probably a year away yes.

Probably that Jake Davis is a potential early 2nd round pick and the Ivisic bros are gonna go in the lottery, and that we arguably have the best roster in the NCAA, and perhaps even the world? There's a very strong, typo-laden, argument to be made that Kylan would have locked down SGA and the Illini would have bested OKC in a 7-game series.
