Arnold Schwarzenegger Handshake GIF

question: does this mean he is cleared by the NCAA or separate issue?

I can't help wondering about the Visa status for all these European players, not only our commits, but so many others across the land.

So assuming Petrovic and Mirkovic won’t be cleared to practice for awhile yet due to NCAA regulations? Also any insight on when they actually set foot on campus?

Wouldn’t the NCAA and school admissions have to accept him before he could sign with Underwood? Seems the biggest hurdles are cleared and his student visa should follow shortly, no?
Not how it works. As previously stated Ivisic signed 6 months before the NCAA made its eligibility determination.

Another way to think of this is that high school players routinely sign before they graduate high school. What if they don't end up graduating? Are they still eligible? Does the University admit someone who never attained a HS degree just because they signed on to play basketball? Or what about a regular student that is admitted to a school but subsequently for whatever reason doesn't graduate. Fails all their finals and decides tondrop out or whatever. Does the school still take them?

Would have to think staff was pretty certain that he would be admitted and be eligible before extending a binding offer. Of course, the NCAA is nothing if not erratic. Same could be said for student visas at this point in time.

Also if they weren't highly confident, they would have added another guard.
