NIL budget just got a bit larger for next year.

I've seen the film clips on Petrovic. He's a man. Big, strong, and very fast. I am right there with you. I'm assuming he's now on campus and working out with his future teammates? Correct?

Hoping Stoyakovic (sp?) injury is minor and won't sideline him. IMO, he and Petrovic are the gold standard on our new recruiting. BTW, how many years of eligibility do they have? Two for the first, but what about Petrovic?

So True. Arizona thought they had put us away. Refs tend to give a team down by double digits just a bit more wiggle room with physicality which I think mattered. These guys never gave up and we had 3 ultra-competitive guards that didn't know how to quit. They absolutely caught fire in those last few minutes and took advantage of every break. Incredible moment in Illini sports.
This is spot on. The refs let us get a little extra physical at the end. In general I hate when refs do that but I loved it that night. See Dee's steal to cut it to 3. He just hatchet chopped the AZ guard to steal & then it went to Dee back to Deron for the layup. As an aside that's the sickest sidespin bounce pass in the history of hoops by D Will. Majestic.

Even Ingram had a handful of jersey on the steal to set up the shot to tie the game at 80-80. Again refs lettin em play a bit.

But the main thing is that team (tho maybe not the most talented roster top to bottom) just refused to ever die. They were not going out without one hell of a fight. Did the same against Carolina when they rallied in the 2nd half. As a sports fan I have never been prouder of a team I supported than I was that team. Desperately wanted them to win it all, but at the end I know they gave every last ounce of effort & heart to it & that's all you can ever ask for.

He has Ty Rodgers as our fifth most valuable player. I'd disregard. (Not because I don't think Rodgers has value, I just don't think he'll provide that value this season, which I expect him to miss.)
I don’t think just because Rodgers might miss time or the entire year that you should immediately throw out those rankings. How much of a drop is it from 5 to say 8 on this roster?

Obviously it’ll push us down the list should Rodgers miss the season, but if I were guessing, I don’t think we’d drop below 15 or so.

Not to mention I don’t know how good maya is at predicting euro transition impact.

I wasn't able to find the feature where you can add/remove players on Miya's site, but Torvik has us 7th and if you remove Ty Rodgers we're still 14th:

I could buy that. I know it's a stretch but if you apply this to March Madness this is effectively putting our ceiling in the Sweet 16 compared to with Rodgers our ceiling would have been Elite Eight.

Though these are projected finish, rather than ceiling.
